Recent evidence of these difficulties have emerged as Simply Business, the small business insurer, conducted a study on the impact of IR35.
Simply Business conducted a survey of 250 across a number of industries which were likely to be hit by the changes, including IT, engineering, financial and more.
The study revealed that 32 percent of contractors expect to miss out on over £20,000 in take-home pay now the IR35 reform has come into effect, and one in five (20 percent) expect to miss out on between £10,000 and £20,000.
Simply Business shared insight from Kevin Neal and Bill Cunnew, two IT contractors who detailed how IR35 has impacted them thus far.
