PIP, or Personal Independence Payment as it is more formally known, provides people with financial support if they are living with a heath condition or a disability, long-term. Whether it is the cost of attending appointments, prescriptions, or simply aid with getting out and about, PIP can provide significant support. As PIP can help financially, it is likely to be the case many Britons will use this sum to help budget on a day-to-day basis.
Therefore, understanding when a person is going to receive their PIP payment is likely to be key.
As a new month starts today, Britons in receipt of PIP should be aware of key payment changes which could impact when they are paid.
Individuals who are expecting to be paid on Monday should note this is a bank holiday - and as such, this impacts payment.
However, these people should have already received their PIP entitlement due to a DWP rule.

There is also a late May bank holiday which occurs at the end of the month, and may signal another payment change.
The DWP has confirmed individuals who are due to be paid on Monday, May 31, will also see a payment change.
This bank holiday means these individuals will instead receive a payment on Friday, May 28, in a similar process to the earlier bank holiday.
Fortunately, Britons will not have to take any action in order to receive this earlier payment.
Whether a person gets one or both is dependent on how severely their condition affects them.
The weekly rate for the daily living part of PIP is set at either £60.00 or £89.60, while the rate for mobility is either £23.70 or £62.55.
PIP is available to claimants if they are aged 16 or over, and have not reached state pension age.
The payment is tax-free and not impacted by a person’s income or savings.
